Smoothing, repair & conditioning

Keratin & bond repair in Fort Lauderdale

A keratin smoothing treatment here lasts three to five months. It reduces frizz and cuts blow-dry time - it does not make hair permanently straight.

Bond repair is a different job. It rebuilds the internal structure after bleach, heat or salt water, in a single short service rather than a course. Most clients here need one or the other seasonally: humidity is what ruins a blow-dry, and salt water plus sun is what damages the hair itself. They are not the same problem and they do not have the same fix.

Why this matters here

Hair takes a beating in South Florida

Humidity

Moisture swells the cuticle and the frizz comes straight back. A styling problem - smoothing solves it.

Salt & chlorine

Both strip moisture and weaken the bonds inside the strand. Structural damage; no amount of smoothing fixes it.

Sun

Lifts color and dries the ends year-round. It is why blondes here need more upkeep than blondes anywhere else.

You want

Keratin smoothing

That is humidity, not damage. Smoothing seals the cuticle so moisture cannot swell it - frizz drops and blow-dry time roughly halves, for three to five months.

Common questions

Treatment questions, answered plainly

Three to five months. Washing less often with a sulfate-free shampoo pushes it toward five; swimming in salt or chlorinated water several times a week pulls it toward three.

Keratin works on the outside of the strand to control frizz. Bond repair works on the inside to rebuild strength. One is about how hair behaves; the other is about how strong it is.

No. It relaxes and calms your texture so it behaves. Your curl pattern is still there, just looser and far easier to dry.

Yes. Brazilian Blowout and Forever Smooth are both on our service list. Which one suits you depends on your texture and how much you want kept.
