Keratin treatments in Fort Lauderdale
A keratin treatment lasts three to five months. It coats and seals the cuticle so humidity cannot swell it - frizz drops, blow-dry time roughly halves, and the style holds between washes.
It does not make hair permanently straight, and that is the most common misunderstanding. Your curl pattern is still there, just looser and far easier to dry. If you want it gone entirely, that is a different conversation and usually the wrong one.

Getting the most from it
How to make it last five months, not three
Sulfate-free shampoo, no exceptions
Sulfates strip the treatment. This is the single biggest factor in whether you get three months or five, and it is entirely in your control.
Wash less often
Every wash costs you a little. Most people find they need to wash less anyway once the frizz is gone, which is part of the appeal.
Salt water and chlorine shorten it
If you swim several times a week, plan for the shorter end of the range. Rinsing straight after helps.
It layers with color
Keratin can be done the same day as color. It is known to lighten color a little, so sometimes a gloss afterwards is what gets the tone back. Tell us at booking so we allow the time.

Questions we get asked
Three to five months. Washing less often with a sulfate-free shampoo pushes it toward five; swimming in salt or chlorinated water several times a week pulls it toward three.
No. It relaxes and calms your texture so it behaves - your curl pattern is still there, just looser and much faster to dry.
Wait 24 to 48 hours after the service before the first wash.
Yes. We use Brazilian Blowout and 4ever Smooth. Which one suits you depends on your texture and how much of it you want kept.
It is best done when your extensions are out, so we can get very close to the root. If you cannot wait, we do it with them in and focus on the top, the edges and the back.
Yes, and you can do it the same day. Keratin treatments are known to lighten color, though, so sometimes you will need a gloss after the treatment.
