Bond repair treatments in Fort Lauderdale

Bond repair rebuilds the broken bonds inside the strand rather than coating the outside. It is the treatment for hair that has been bleached, over-heated, or spent a summer in the ocean - and it works in a single service rather than a course.

It is not the same job as keratin. Keratin controls how hair behaves; bond repair changes how strong it is. If your hair snaps when you brush it and the ends feel like straw, smoothing would hide that for a week and fix nothing.

Smoothing vs repair

Which one you actually need

“It looks fine leaving the salon and awful by lunchtime”

That is humidity, not damage. You want keratin smoothing.

“It snaps when I brush it and the ends feel like straw”

That is structural. You want bond repair, and smoothing on top of it would be money wasted.

“It is both”

Common, especially on lightened hair in this climate. Repair first, smooth second - in that order, at separate appointments if the damage is significant.

“I am about to go lighter”

Bond repair before and during a lift protects the hair through the process. Mention it when you book color and we will build it in.
Common questions

Questions we get asked

Keratin works on the outside of the strand to control frizz. Bond repair works on the inside to rebuild strength. One is about how hair behaves; the other is about how strong it is.

It is cumulative rather than time-limited - each service builds on the last. Hair that has been badly compromised needs several, spaced across appointments.

No. Nothing rejoins a split end permanently. Repair strengthens what is left and slows further splitting; the split itself has to be cut off.

Probably not. If your hair is in good condition and your problem is frizz, a deep conditioning treatment is the better spend.
