Hand-painted color

Balayage in Fort Lauderdale

Balayage is color painted on by hand rather than packed into foils, so it grows out softly instead of leaving a hard regrowth line. Toning is part of every balayage here, and most clients come back every three to four months rather than every six weeks.

The part that matters in South Florida is the toning. Sun and salt water pull painted color warm faster here than almost anywhere, which is why balayage that looked right in the chair can read brassy within a month. We tone for where you actually live, and a gloss between appointments keeps it honest.

What to expect

Balayage, honestly scoped

It is not a one-appointment blonde

If you are starting dark, balayage lightens gradually across sessions. Anyone promising a full transformation in one sitting is either over-processing your hair or under-delivering on the result.

It grows out on purpose

The whole point is a soft regrowth. If you want a sharp, bright line of lift at the root, you want foils - say so and we will book highlights instead.

Toning is the maintenance

The lift lasts. The tone does not. A gloss every six to eight weeks is what keeps it from going brassy, and it costs a fraction of a full color.

It works over extensions

We can paint through an existing install, but it is planned around your move-up so the rows are accessible. Tell us at booking.
Common questions

Questions we get asked

It depends on your length, your starting point and how much brightness you want, so it is priced at a complimentary consultation. Color correction on previously lightened hair is quoted separately.

Every three to four months for the paint, with a gloss every six to eight weeks in between. That gloss is what most people skip, and it is why their color goes brassy.

Highlights are foiled and lift from the root, so regrowth shows as a line. Balayage is painted on freehand and left softer at the root, so it grows out without a hard edge.

It is lightener, so it is not nothing - but painting on the surface is gentler than saturating a foil. On hair that has already been lightened repeatedly we will say so and slow the plan down.
