Tips on Growing Your Hair

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

At some point in life, everyone has decided to make a big change and cut their long hair short. Whether you took the plunge to try a shorter style, perhaps are still recovering from a Covid haircut or have decided that bangs aren’t for you, trying to grow out your hair can be a long and arduous process. Hopefully with a little help from these tips you can easily grow your hair healthy and quickly, so check them out!

TIP #1: Vitamins

One of the first things that people will turn to is vitamins, with good reason! It’s no secret that making sure we have the adequate vitamins and minerals in our body to perform optimally makes a huge difference on everything including hair, skin, and nails. If you are a busy lady on the go, (which really who isn’t these days?) looking into taking an all in one hair vitamin would be a simple option to make sure you are getting all of the nutrients that your body needs. Some of the essential vitamins and minerals to support healthy hair growth are Biotin, B12, Zinc and Folic Acid, so make sure that whatever supplement you take contains these.

TIP #2: Don’t Let a Trim Scare You!

Now I know that the last things someone wants to hear when they are trying to grow their hair out is that they need to cut it. But really, I promise it isn’t a trap! Granted it is a myth that your hair will “grow faster” if you get frequent trims, but what it does help with making sure that you don’t end up with split ends. If you don’t trim off the splits ends then your hair will continue to fray and split, so even if you do grow it out to the length that you wanted, the ends will start looking pretty see-through. You may want long hair, but you also want long and healthy hair!

TIP #3: Hair Masques

Treatments and masques oh my! I’m sure that you have used masks on your face before to give your skin a little extra attention, so why not show your hair the same level of care? You can buy masques for targeted issues like moisture or protein for strengthening, but any treatment masque is going to help moisturize your hair, and reduce breakage. You will want to use a masque once a week for optimum results or every 3-4 shampoos. Feel like your hair goes flat when you use heavier conditioners or masks? Make sure the not apply the masque to your roots and focus on the mid lengths and ends for optimal results.

TIP #4: You are What You Eat

This might seem like a no-brainer, but sometimes we all need a little reminder! Eating a healthy and well balanced diet is paramount for growing your hair out quickly. Remember everything that you are eating is fueling you body, not only with energy but fueling your hair skin and nail growth as well. A nutrient dense diet filled with a variety of fruits, vegetables and proteins will most definitely promote faster and more importantly, healthier, stronger hair growth.
